Meconium aspiration pneumonia in Murrah buffalo calves

Meconium aspiration syndrome (MAS) is caused due to respiratory distress the fetus during or before parturition. As a result of asphyxia, fetal gasping causes meconic amniotic fluid entry into air passages and pulmonary complications, sometimes death newborn. In present study, two cases MAS in murrah buffalo calves born full term by assisted delivery died after few hours were received for routine postmortem examination.
